Lost Items

Steps for claiming lost items through the courier service:

  1. Post a message to sdln-ill@sdln.net as soon as possible.
  2. Include the title, author, and who sent it and where it was going.
  3. Ask help@sdln.net to post it on the ILL News page.
  4. If the item does not show up at the requesting library or the owning library, after six weeks, start a claim with the courier.

The owner of the item must then do these steps:

  1. Submit the replacement cost to Fred Finch at MINITEX, and he will contact the courier.
  2. The replacement check will be sent to the owning library.
  3. Fred Finch's e-mail address is finch006@umn.edu.
