How to subscribe to a listserv:
- With any e-mail client, such as Outlook or Hotmail, compose a message to listserver@sdln.net
- Leave the Subject line blank
- In the body of the e-mail, enter "subscribe listname your_email_address" (without quotes)
- For example, to subscribe to the SDLN-L listserv, you would type: subscribe SDLN-L johndoe@abcxyz.com
- To subscribe to multiple lists, just insert all the lists you wish to join in one e-mail message
- For example, to subscribe to the SDLN-L and SDLN-ILL lists, you would type:
subscribe SDLN-L johndoe@abcxyz.com
subscribe SDLN-ILL johndoe@abcxyz.com
How to unsubscribe from a listserv:
- With any e-mail client, such as Outlook or Hotmail, compose a message to listserver@sdln.net
- Leave the Subject line blank
- In the body of the e-mail, enter "unsubscribe listname your_email_address" (without quotes)
- For example, to unsubscribe from the SDLN-L listserv, you would type: unsubscribe SDLN-L johndoe@abcxyz.com
- To unsubscribe from multiple lists, just insert all the lists you with to leave in one e-mail message
- For example, to unsubscribe from the SDLN-L and SDLN-ILL lists, you would type:
unsubscribe SDLN-L johndoe@abcxyz.com
unsubscribe SDLN-ILL johndoe@abcxyz.com
How to post a message to a list:
- Once you have subscribe to a list by following the above instructions, compose a message to "listname"@sdln.net
- For example, if you are subscribed to the SDLN-L list and wish to post a message to it, use SDLN-L@sdln.net as the address
- Enter an appropriate Subject
- Compose the body of the message and click send, your message will be delivered to all subscribers of SDLN-L
